I bought an iFi Diablo DAC/Headphone amplifier in 'as new' shape from CeX. Anyway, the USB assembly broke while I was taking out the included blue USB cable. Both CeX and iFi wouldn’t honor any warranty. So, following iFi's advice, I sent the unit in for a repair estimate. I wasn’t thrilled about it, but figured resoldering a USB socket would cost around £80 at most. Instead of an estimate, I was informed that the unit had been fixed. And then I got hit with a £306.15 bill for a new printed circuit board assembly. When I questioned it, they told me I could just take the unit back without any repairs!

So, I begrudgingly paid up. To make matters worse, iFi sent the unit back dirty, with no invoice, no service report, and one of the rubber feet missing from the bottom.

iFi wants to be the go-to brand for HiFi fans, but all the effort from their production, marketing, and design teams will go to waste if they can’t keep their promises and treat customers better than they treated me.

This is probably the worst customer service I’ve encountered in nearly 30 years.

I recently got my hands on the iFi NEO iDSD to swap out my HRT HD DAC. I haven't explored all its features yet, but so far, it's been everything I expected and more. I haven't dabbled in DSD or MQA yet, but my high-res WAV and FLAC PCM files, along with Qobuz and Radio Paradise FLAC, sound fantastic! I really appreciate that I can set it up vertically on the included stand since space is tight, and that was a big reason for my purchase. Thankfully, it turned out to be a great choice!

I've got three of their items and two are great. But, I ran into an issue with one I purchased second-hand. I reached out to them, but all they told me was that they don’t cover used products under warranty. I asked about the warranty, but honestly, I just wanted it repaired! Their customer service is a bit of a letdown.

This is a trustworthy brand that delivers solid products without breaking the bank.

I purchased a couple of Ifi gadgets from a German retailer, Projekt Akustik. The shipping was quick. Both Ifi products are top-notch in every aspect; from build quality to user-friendliness, and let’s not forget the sound quality. Setting them up was a breeze. I'm talking about my ZEN Blue V2 and ZEN One Signature. Each device comes with Bluetooth capabilities and delivers fantastic audio. The ZEN One Signature also has DAC features. When I stack it against my Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt, I’m really pleased and quite thrilled with my ZEN One Signature, even though the Dragonfly Cobalt still holds its own. But for my home stereo setup, I definitely lean towards my new ZEN due to its sound and simplicity. Highly recommend it!

I got the Zen Blue DAC, and let me tell ya, the sound quality is top-notch! The ldac codec really makes a difference. Definitely worth a shoutout!

The Zen Can turned out to be quite a letdown. The jack sockets were not attached properly, or at all, to the front panel. The front panel itself was loose and not secured well. That odd pentaconn balanced input makes you shell out for their overpriced cable, unless you want all your gear to match this brand. When I complained about this, the response I got was rude and arrogant, especially since I was getting nowhere with the retailer. The sound quality was decent, but it just wasn't my style. The detail was absolutely top-notch, but the treble was a bit harsh, and there was a lack of deep or sub-bass; the lowest bass seemed to be pushed up towards the mids. It might work well with headphones that struggle with bass, as it enhances it instead of letting the headphones handle it. But my headphones manage the full range just fine. If you can, spend a little more or consider buying used. I ended up with an older amp from Germany, and it doesn't have any of these problems. Don't just rely on magazine reviews, marketing, and hype when considering Ifi products. The pictures can be misleading since the unit appears to be well-crafted. It's a real pity, as British hi-fi used to have such a stellar reputation.

I've got a handful of DACs, a streamer, a power conditioner, and the latest Go Bar. iFi makes top-notch gear at great prices. I'm a big fan!

I really dig iFi products; they create top-notch gear for audio files and keep their customers satisfied, myself included. Their customer service is top-tier, and they’re constantly pushing the envelope in audio engineering. New ideas and products that actually deliver—no gimmicks here! I truly think iFi is ahead of the game compared to others in the industry!

I just dipped my toes into the world of iFi with the Zen Phono. Initially, I thought it would just be a temporary solution while I hunted down a classic preamp from the 70s, but wow, that plan flipped on its head! This device sounds absolutely amazing! It delivers that warm tone I usually link to vintage vinyl gear, along with the staging, clarity, precision, and low noise levels you'd expect from top-notch modern devices. Honestly, I can't wrap my head around how they can offer this at such a price; it truly stands up against preamps that cost ten times more. Plus, dealing with iFi has been a breeze. I can totally see myself adding more of their products to my collection soon.

I've been using the iFi Zen Air Blue for a couple of weeks and I gotta say, I'm really impressed. I had no idea Bluetooth could sound this good for just 99 bucks. It's definitely a solid product. Also, I wanna mention that when I registered my Zen Air Blue, they sent me an email. Super nice folks, they really care about their customers. Overall, it's been a great experience with iFi.

Up to now, I'm really pleased with the Gryphon Amp/DAC. The sound is fantastic and it's super flexible. I haven't explored all the features yet, but for what I need, it performs and sounds awesome!

I sent my amp off for some attention (it’s been making these awful scratching sounds) and haven’t heard a peep about whether they got it or when it’ll be checked out. It’s been a month now, and I’m really anxious considering how much it cost. My messages seem to be going into a black hole, and I stress about it daily. I just want to find out what’s happening.

My device has been out of commission for months now. I was getting static sounds from both headphone drivers. I shipped it off to iFi audio for repairs. They fixed it and returned it, but it just wasn’t right. There was still noise in the signal, and six months later, it failed again. Same problem—static noises with no audio whatsoever. Now it’s just sitting in the garage collecting dust.

I picked up a hip dac2 and I couldn't be happier! It's a fantastic gadget that I pair with my Meze 99 headphones. The sound quality is top-notch. If you're in the market for a DAC to hook up to your iPhone or PC/Mac, this is a no-brainer.
